Damma (verb): [dam-ma] Origin: Arabic literature
1. A diacritic mark used in the Arabic script, placed over a letter to indicate the vowel sound /U/.
2. Literal meanings is to Join, Gather and Embrace.

Metamorphosis
"Metamorphosis," Damma’s debut Experience, took place on October 7th inviting all art aficionados, creators, collectors, visionaries, and change-makers on a journey of transformation and rebirth.
The evening showcased bringing over 45 independent Artists from different disciplines into a realm of boundless creativity, offering a profound exploration of what it means to truly BE.
This Art Production was curated through 3 different rooms, each representing a different phase of transformation, The Dark Place, The Journey, and The Light. Metamorphosis was thoughtfully curated to trigger reflection and healing, guiding participants through an immersive experience of profound change.
Echos of Agony
Held at Tapestry Toronto on November 12th, was an evening of darkened soundscapes and immersive art experiences. The event provided a space for participants to share their collective pain, rage, and longing for change. Following the transformation seen in our previous event, “Metamorphosis,” we acknowledged the world's metamorphosis into shadows. In solidarity with those enduring profound suffering, particularly in Gaza, we came together to respond to the darkness around us, reminding everyone that they are not alone.
The Holiday Pop-Up
We hosted a very special Fashion & Art Holiday Pop-Up at The Drake Hotel. The event featured 18 independent ethical creators, each showcasing their unique and thoughtfully crafted works. Curated by us in collaboration with The Drake Hotel, this pop-up provided attendees the perfect opportunity to discover and support innovative, sustainable fashion and art just in time for the holiday season.
A Tactile Dialogue
A Damma collaboration with @kr____is for their Workflow series, that took place on January 31st at The Drake Hotel. Curated by Kunn Collective, this event brought together the artistry of pottery and leather. Featuring two talented artists, @___solem, a Toronto-based sculptor, and Sasha, the leather smith and creative director of @thisiswaiwai from Vancouver, the evening celebrated the fusion of these distinct crafts, offering attendees an immersive and tactile artistic experience.
Launch of Elbit Kibreet
Kunn Collective proudly launched Elbët Kibreet at Mekan Toronto as part of our DAMMA event series. The evening showcased Toronto’s newest musical sensation, blending melodies from the Levant, North Africa, and North America. Attendees were treated to an unforgettable experience of singing, dancing, and cultural celebration.
